KUNSTRUCTIEF (26-27-28.10.17)

October, 26-27-28, 2017
KOPLAND, Amerikalei 128 2000 Antwerpen

On October 26, 27 and 28, KOPLAND is the place to be for a series of sessions filled with information about the business side of being an artist. In this way we try to provide the necessary information, expertise and know-how for the starting artist and creative entrepreneur to organize themselves in a professional way. In collaboration with a number of experts, we examine how creativity and entrepreneurship go hand in hand.

PROGRAM

Make money with your art

26/10 from 19h30 till 21h30 @ KOPLAND

Session about the business and legal side of creative entrepreneurship with Stijn Kums (ACV) and Julie Scheers (SMart).

Act like a boss

27/10 from 19h30 till 21h30 @ KOPLAND

Always wanted to be your own boss? Or do you rather dream of occasional services, the various fees and their limits? Is it best to opt for an independent status? Or would you rather be self-employed in a secondary occupation? Heidi Regemortel (consultant partners & entrepreneurs at Xerius) provides the answers to all your questions.

Fight for your copyright

28/10 from 11h till 13h @ KOPLAND

Any idea about how valuable your ideas actually are? How can you identify and protect them? And how do you convert these ideas into a commercial model? In this session, Intellectual Property Rights lawyer Pieter De Grauwe will familiarize you with the world of copyrights, contracts, patents, designs and other useful rights.

Price tagging

28/10 from 14h till 16h @ KOPLAND

In this workshop, Bert Pieters teaches you how much money you could and should charge for your work, and how to approach that in practice. You discover which strategies there are to determine the ideal price and then get to work yourself.
