In 2003, Joe Dynamite opened his shop Glorybound Tattooing. Over the years, his business has grown to become one of the leading tattoo shops in Antwerp and surroundings. Within their tattoo craft, the human body serves as a canvas. In their personal work, the tattoo artists of Glorybound look for other carriers to display their creative work. Art forms such as photography, illustration, painting and glass chipping will be shown in their exhibition.
Behold the glory BEYOND GLORYBOUND.
Jelle Keppens: with a street vision of photography, road riders, trash skate atmosphere and more, in black and white contrasts.
Levi Netto: with big acrylic painting on canvas, solid colors and simplistic lines remembering vintage graphics like American folk art and traditional tattoo.
Joe Dynamite: with his recent works in glass, using the technique of glue chipping in different size formats.
Max Dem: with watercolor paintings, inspired by 80s and 90s heavy metal graphics, horror films and his own style in tattoo.
Matias Canteros – tattoo artist from Buenos Aires and regular guest at Glorybound: with his acrylic artwork on canvas and paper, influenced by graphic design as well as sarcastic fake advertising and classic cartoons.
